Granting Quran memorisation license for tutors

The Department of Religious Centres and Institutes grants licenses to tutors who are qualified for teaching the holy Quran.

 Service will be closed in case of unavailability of vacancies.

Document Required

  1. 1 Copy of passport with valid visa for residents
  2. 2 Emirates ID
  3. 3 Family book for citizens
  4. 4 Copy of academic qualifications
  5. 5 A recent personal photo
  6. 6 CV
  7. 7 Copy of valid residency visa (for residents)
  8. 8 Marriage certificate (for males)
  9. 9 Copy of license in teaching the holy Quran
  10. 10  Copy of experience certificates in teaching the holy Quran (if any)

Terms & Conditions

  • Completion of high school
  • Letter of candidacy in Quran memorisation, with fluency in reading and Tajweed as per the following terms: Emirati tutors: memorising at least 6 parts of the holy Quran , Other nationality tutors: memorising at least 15 parts of the holy Quran
  • Obtaining no objection certificate from employer in case the candidate is not sponsored by GAIAE
  • Having good knowledge of the rules of Quran reading and Tajweed, both in theory and in practice
  • Experience in Quran memorisation, or submit a letter of candidacy in the same field
  • Holding certificate in ICDL or at least having sufficient knowledge about it
  • Pass the tests and interviews administered by GAIAE
  • Candidate must be of good conduct
  • Candidate must be medically fit for the job
  • Candidate must be married (for males only).
  • Candidate must be one the Imams who were appointed by Awqaf (for males only).
  • A priority will be given to male tutors who are qualified for teaching the holy Quran from Imams who are working in the General Authority of Islamic Affairs
