The miraculous night journey of Israa and Miraj will be an event from which we derive the values of tolerance and co-existence
The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments celebrated the anniversary of Israa and Miraj, affirming that the miraculous night journey of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is filled with lessons with profound dimensions and wide horizons for the good of humankind.
The night journey will always be considered one of the most magnificent events in our life over years to come, from which we derive the immense significance of the ideals and values of fraternity, tolerance and co-existence.
The anniversary was an opportunity to throw a great deal of light on the initiatives launched by the UAE's wise leadership to cement peace and inclusion among the world’s nations irrespective of their races, faiths and beliefs, following in the footsteps of the founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed.
On this occasion, Dr Mohamed Matar Salem al-Kaabi, Chairman of Awqaf, extended heartfelt congratulations to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Their Highness Members of the Supreme Council of Federation, the Rulers of the Emirates, the Emiratis, and the expatriates.
Dr al-Kaabi supplicated to the Exalted Allah to bless the UAE's prudent leadership with success in its endeavour to promote the lofty values of humanity and global peace, hoping that this occasion will return for many years to come while our country is further blessed with goodness and prosperity, development and progress.
Speakers at the celebration cast light on numerous aspects of Israa and Miraj night journey, such as the Major Ayas (verses), Journey of Everlasting Values, and Gathering of the Prophets, calling on the attendees to ponder over them and get inspired from the human values these aspects tend to bring about.
They said that Islam ensures the necessity of deepening the culture of civilisational communication among nations around the world and co-existence with the other on the bases of peace, dialogue and cooperation.
It is worth mentioning that the celebration, which was organised by Awqaf, was attended by Dr Mohamed Matar al-Kaabi, Chairman of Awqaf, Mr Mohamed Saeed al-Neyadi, Director-General of Awqaf, in addition to Awqaf’s executive directors, employees and a massive crowd of imams and public from all walks of life.
