A group of scholars from around the world, invited by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President, and under the supervision of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Court, arrived at the Abu Dhabi International Airport. They were welcomed by Dr Mohamed Matar al-Kaabi, Chairman of Awqaf, HE Mohamed Saeed al-Neyadi, Director-General of Awqaf, and other officials. The scholars are in the UAE to participate in the annual Ramadan programme, where they will deliver lessons, lectures, and conferences in mosques, majlises, institutions, and media outlets. Dr al-Kaabi welcomed them and emphasised the UAE President’s commitment to knowledge and scholars, as well as showcasing the tolerant teachings of Islam. The programme was first founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, and Dr al-Kaabi invoked Allah to have mercy upon him. The scholars thanked HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the warm hospitality and the opportunity to participate in the programme. For their part, they praised the high rank the UAE, its leadership, government, and people, have attained globally.
