The Islamic Affairs reviews the UAE President Programme during the holy month of Ramadan

As a prelude to Ramadan, the month of the Quran and giving and the lofty values, the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments extended the heartfelt congratulations to HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, his Deputy HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Their Highness Members of the Supreme Council of Federation the Rulers of the Emirates, and The Crown Princes. Dr Mohamed Matar al-Kaabi, Chairman of Awqaf, supplicated to the Exalted Allah to return this blessed month upon Their Highness, the UAE citizens and residents with goodness, peace and happiness, and our country with further welfare and prosperity as it seeks to enrich the next fifty years with unprecedented achievements following in footsteps of the Founding Leader the late Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul in peace, and his brothers, the Founding Fathers. In a press conference held at Awqaf’s headquarters in the presence of officials and media, Dr al-Kaabi highlighted the keen interest of the UAE leadership to enrich nights and days of the blessed month of Ramadan with lectures and symposiums targeting the foreign communities residing in the UAE, revealing the UAE President hosting of scholars from around the world under the supervision of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. The scholars will take part in the Ramadan programme by delivering lectures in the mosques, institutes and majlises across the country. Dr al-Kaabi said that the programme events this year consist of religious lectures in the government and private institutions and media institutions throughout the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to preaching lectures on Awqaf’s networking sites, and religious and community seminars that take place in coordination with various relevant authorities and institutions, as well as Ramadan evenings in cooperation with the Majlis Affairs Office in the Crown Prince’s Court, and organisation of a forum of the UAE President scholars that brings about an elite of guest scholars and a host of intellectuals and thinkers from different government and private institutions. The guest scholars will also participate in the Forum for understanding the Noble Quran, the preaching support initiative for domestic workers, and the Zayed’s Will initiative, which is concerned with organising visits for a group of senior citizens, people of determination and patients, as well as holding specialized scientific courses. The number of 5 famous readers in the Islamic world to lead the evening and Tarawih prayers in a number of large mosques in the various emirates of the country, in addition to the participation of scholars in the celebration of Zayed Day for Humanitarian Work on the 19th of Ramadan 1443 AH. Dr al-Kaabi reviewed Awqaf’s programme during the holy month of Ramadan, indicating that 150 religious lessons will be implemented through the smart preaching platform, and 249 episodes will be presented through various media, radio and television channels across UAE, and religious lectures will be held daily in government and private institutions , and the implementation of the Preaching convoys initiative, Ramadan Thoughts Program, Anis Al-Dar Program, in addition to launching the Young Preacher Competition in its sixth season, and intensifying work in the smart platform programs for teaching the Holy Quran remotely. As well as conducting a clear recitation competition for Surat Al-Fatihah, the season 2, while focusing on enriching social media with tweets and awareness messages, and delivering Ramadan lessons in mosques, and initiating the distribution of Ramadan publications produced by the authority, as well as distributing the Noble Quran to the public and the entities that apply to have copies of the Quran.
