Partners

The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments is keen on working along with its strategic partners and stakeholders by engaging them in the pursuit of fulfilling the UAE’s aspirations. As such contributes to achieving the strategic and shared goals at all levels.

The following is the list of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments partners:

"Friday Sermon Translation in Sign Language" Initiative

“Friday Sermon Translation in Sign Language” is an initiative launched by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments in collaboration with the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination and the UAE Deaf Association.

The initiative comes as part of Awqaf’s strategy to deliver its services to all segments of society by translating the Friday sermon in sign language every week in a video clip shown on mosques’ display screens and posted on smart apps, social media platforms and published on websites of entities participating in the initiative.

“Masjidi” initiative to reduce electricity consumption in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

The initiative aims to cut down electricity consumption for air-conditioning systems in the mosques in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Distribution Company.

The initiative comes as part of Awqaf’s goals and plans to contribute to reducing the consumption and squandering of resources while working on achieving sustainability.

By doing so, the electricity can be only automated and programmed to operate when need be as per international standards by replacing the existing manual temperature control devices with smart ones that can be programmed to run automatically.

This can be done while having the capability to control the devices remotely via the central control system, which will come into service as part of the initiative and be installed in one of Awqaf’s buildings in order to facilitate the operation and control process.
