The Senegalese delegation visits Awqaf and discusses ways to promote cooperation
Abu Dhabi: Dr. Mohamed Matar Al-Kaabi, Chairman of Awqaf, received at the Awqaf’s headquarters Mr. Bab Adam Sisi Omar, President of the High Authority of Waqf in Senegal and his accompanying delegation.
The visit aimed at discussing ways to promote cooperation, improve communication and create partnerships.
Dr. Al-Kaabi welcomed his Senegalese counterpart and his delegation, underscoring in the meantime the UAE wise leadership interest in increasing such visits aiming to foster the bonds of cooperation between the two countries.
Dr. Al-Kaabi expressed Awqaf’s preparedness to establish further effective cooperation to serve the two countries’ communities, highlight the bright and true image of the tolerant principles of Islam, promote the lofty human values and foster harmony, tolerance, respect of the other and culture of human fraternity.
He continued to say that such fruitful cooperation ought to contribute to promoting Waqf culture and expanding its resources with state-of-the-art methods to fulfil its role in societies by endorsing charitable and humanitarian works.
On a related note, the Senegalese delegation discussed the mechanism of implementing the memorandum of understanding signed with Awqaf in 2019 and ways to strengthen the partnerships between the two sides, focusing on the continuing coordination to attain the sought-for goals.
For his part, Bab Adam Sisi Omar praised the development achieved and approach adopted by Awqaf in the management of Islamic affairs, besides the modern methods it employs to offer its services to the public.
He emphasised the importance of promoting cooperation and benefitting from the outstanding experience and expertise Awqaf has accumulated.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by HE Mohamed Saeed Al-Neyadi, Director-General of Awqaf, in addition to the Executive Directors at Awqaf.
