The Islamic Affairs participates in the 7th meeting of the GCC Waqf Ministers

The Kingdom of Bahrain -The Islamic Affairs took part in the 7th meeting of the GCC Waqf Ministers on 13 October 2021 via videoconferencing in the attendance of their excellencies Ministers and Officials. In his speech during the meeting, which was delivered remotely from Abu Dhabi, Dr Al-Kaabi extended the heartfelt greetings of the UAE wise leadership and people to the participating ministers. Dr Al-Kaabi hailed the special care given by the GGC leaders to the Islamic Affairs and Endowments and their unwavering support so that they deliver their mission in the best way possible and cast light on the bright image of Islam and cement the values of peace, tolerance and co-existence. He also commended the efforts being made to accomplish the initiatives and projects that contribute to ensuring integrity among the gulf countries in Islamic Affairs and endowments, expressing his relief that life will return to normal after the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and influx of visitors to perform Umra. On a related note, Dr Al-Kaabi praised the initiatives put forward by the participating countries, primarily aimed at shedding light on the bright image of Islam and fostering the lofty values of humanity, interconnection of civilisations and respect of cultures, thus contributing to creating a secure and developed society. In his speech, the Chairman of Awqaf applauded the efforts exerted to promote the endowment by exchanging academic research and endowment experiences among the committee’s members explicitly designed for this goal. Concluding his speech, Dr Al-Kaabi said that adopting the joint endowment initiatives would significantly help boost the economy, knowing that the endowment had contributed throughout history to the sustainability of the academic, societal, charitable and humanitarian projects.
