President of Kazakhstan awards Dr Mohamed Matar Al-Kaabi the International Astana Prize
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, awarded Dr Mohamed Matar Salem Al-Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the “International Astana Prize”, which is one of the most prestigious awards in the Central Asian region in recognition of his contributions to promoting dialogue amongst followers of religions and disseminating fraternity culture and global peace.
This came during the opening ceremony of the 7th Congress of Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions under the theme “The Role of Religion Leaders in the Spiritual and Social Development of Humankind in the Post-Covid-19 Pandemic”, in the presence of a host of political and religious leaders from all over the world.
