A lecture given as part of the UAE Guest Scholar Program in Ramadan
Prof. Sulaiman Al-Tarifi, of Saudi Arabia, Guest of the UAE President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for the holy month of Ramadan, delivered a lecture as part of the Ramadan events organised by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
The lecturer talked about the giving to others citing that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul in peace, who was the example of giving and generosity as he left behind ever-lasting landmarks of charity all over the world, thus making him attain the love of peoples.
Prof. Sulaiman Al-Tarifi said that naming a national occasion after the late Sheikh Zayed as “Zayed Humanitarian Work Day” has profound significance mirroring the nobility of the Emiratis who follow in footsteps of the benevolent.
He also said that this occasion is an opportunity to learn from this unique humanitarian journey that has made the UAE a beacon of guidance and giving and mercy benefitting the poor, the needy and the distressed in every corner of the globe irrespective of their races.
