Islamic Affairs celebrates the International Day of Happiness
Marking the International Day of Happiness, the Islamic Affairs held a celebration at Al- Forsan Club in Abu Dhabi for employees to meet with one another and practice an array of sporting and recreational activities. The aim is to help employees boost their personal and social bonds and to demonstrate their hobbies and skills.
HE Mohammed Matar al-Kaabi, Awqaf’s Chairman, met with all the participants, highlighting that the UAE wise leadership has provided the citizens with all causes of happiness and prosperity including modern cities, luxurious houses, gardens, resorts and other recreational spots where people can practice their sporting activities.
Dr al-Kaabi, on this occasion, said, “our endeavour to ensure job satisfaction and employee happiness is a critical part of society’s happiness a whole, inevitably leading to make further national and occupational accomplishments.”.
It is noteworthy that the Islamic Affairs provided in celebration of Happiness Day a myriad of recreational activities at Al-Forsan Club in Khalifa City namely shooting, car race, among others.
The Islamic Affairs branches across the country also celebrated the Happiness Day including Al-Dhafra office. There, employees took the initiative to clean mosques in groups along with cleaning workers and technicians. They carried out maintenance and cleaning works including the women’s prayer rooms and concluded their activity by having a congregational breakfast.
In Al Ain region, the Islamic Affairs office launched an initiative entitled “Marhaban biman lafana” (we welcome our guests) in coordination with the General Administration of Customs where they met the arrivals to the country with greetings cards and gifts. The initiative brought joy and happiness to the visitors through the border crossings. After that, HE Director of Customs Administration honoured the Al Ain office for undertaking such an exciting initiative.
