As part of its celebrations marking the 47th UAE National Day at all its branches across the UAE, Awqaf extended the sincerest congratulations to the UAE’s wise leadership and loyal people on the occasion.
The events of the celebrations were attended by scholars, Muftis, Imams, Khateebs as well as male and female staff who raised the UAE flags high, expressing their utmost joyful, patriotic feelings and sincerest loyalty and affiliation to their leadership and community.
They also pledged to Allah, to the leaders and to the nation that they will continue to set a role model for others to emulate in allegiance, grand achievements and development, following the vision of the founding leader, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul in peace, his founding brethren and the UAE’s leadership headed by HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah protect him, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates.
Commenting on the occasion, Dr Mohammed Matar al Kaabi, Awqaf’s Chairman, said, “Indeed, the homeland, its prosperity, glory and protection are amongst the highest objectives of Islamic Shariaa. Such a goal has a supreme moral, intellectual and practical status in Islam, something that has been accentuated in the contemporary Islamic discourse through several national, regional and international conferences and seminars that were hosted in the UAE capital, the latter being a capital of happiness, tolerance, loyalty and allegiance.”
